MANCHESTER UNITED FC SUPPORTERS` CLUB GULU CHAPTER DONATES FOOD RELIEF ITEMS TO ST.JUDE`S CHILDREN HOME

Some Manchester united Fc fans under their umbrella Manchester united Fc supporters` club Gulu chapter have supported St Jude`s children home in Bardege-Layibi division in Gulu city with relief food items in line with celebrating the club`s the 2023/2024 FA cup triumph against Manchester City Fc where Manchester United Fc won by two goals to one. The items delivered included 100kgs of rice 10ltrs of cooking oil, 20ltrs of liquid soap, and some other food items.

Stephen Balmoithe interim chairperson of Manchester United FC supporters` club Gulu chapter said much as the event was hinged around celebrating the FA cup trophy, they also used it to start registering genuine Manchester United Fc supporters and also to have their supporters` club to be recognized by Manchester United Fc in England. "This is the first time we are coming together in a very organized way; we are looking beyond celebrating the FA cup trophy, we want to be recognized internationally as one of Manchester United Fc supporters` clubs in the whole world`` and to have positive impact in their lives of our people in here in Acholi subregion",  he remarked.

 
Manchester United Fc fans matching to St Jude`s children Home in Gulu city

The director of St Jude`s children home Mrs. Josephine Ogweta applauded Manchester United FC supporters` club Gulu chapter for supporting St. Jude`s children home with the food relief items. "I am so grateful and I am really touched BY this gesture of yours to think of coming to the aid of these vulnerable and needy children of ours, I pray that the supporters of the other football clubs also emulate what you have done, I am profoundly delighted by this", she echoed.

Shiekh Ismail Alii Omona, the Imam of Gulu main Mosque (Jumia Mosque) said he was struck by the conditions of the children at the centre where he appealed to people of goodwill to support in any way possible. "I want to thank you Manchester United Fc supporters` club of Gulu for organizing this, I am really moved by what I saw here, some of these children cannot walk, they really need help, without this event I would have not known, it`s my first time to visit this centre", he said.

Fred Ngom okwee, one of the staunch Manchester united Fc`s fans urges people to support St. Jude children home. "I know this centre has raised and supported so many vulnerable children of all kinds, like, abandoned children, disabled ones, orphaned children and so on, as acholi people we should support this centre", he noted.
St Jude`s children home currently have 68 children of different categories that include the disabled, the abandoned and rejected.
