The newly appointed West Nile Regional Police Commander SSP Denis Ochama has promised to maintain better working relationship with police officers and sister security agencies in the region.
 
Ocama who replaced Eddie Serunjonji also commended the outgoing RPC for his diligent work, cooperation, mentorship and guidance during his service in the region.
 
He made the remark on Tuesday July 2, 2024, during the handover ceremony that took place in the office of RPC West Nile Region witnessed by the Regional Heads of departments and Journalists. 
 
Ocama who formerly worked as the Deputy RPC West Nile will be deputized by the newly appointed Deputy RPC West Nile Region SSP Sserunjogi John Bosco, the former DPC of Bundibugyo. 
 
In the latest Inspector General of Police appointments, the outgoing RPC ACP Eddie Sserunjogi was appointed to as the Commissioner of Police, heading Department of Private Security Fire Arms at Police Headquarters, Kampala.
 
During the handover ceremony, the outgoing RPC West Nile Region, ACP Eddie Sserunjogi commended the IGP for the new appointment and west Nile police for team work exhibited in fighting the recent wave of crimes like thefts and robberies in Arua City. 
 
The outgoing RPC further appreciated the technical, political leaders, the team from Judiciary, UPDF, Prisons, ISO, the Business Community and the general public for the good working relationship and cooperation with police and press fraternity.
 
Relatedly, The Regional Heads of departments, who witnessed the handover and takeover ceremony, commended the outgoing RPC for his good leadership skills, wishing him well in his endeavors.
