Archbishop of Church of Uganda The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu has reminded President Museveni to fulfil his pledge of donating vehicle to Bishop of West Lango Diocese.

Kazimba in his remarks during the 10 years anniversary for West Lango Diocese at Aduku Cathedral on Saturday said out of 39 Dioceses, it is only West Lango Diocese that President pledged of a vehicle has never been fulfilled.

However he said this has never stopped Bishop from doing his pastoral works though it is so challenging adding that in a letter he wrote, the President directed presidential press secretary to effect the procurement of this vehicle with immediate effect.

In 2019 during the installation of Rt Rev Bishop Julius Ceasor Nina Otim, His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni pledged to donate a brand new vehicle to Bishop Nina but 5 years down the road this is still unfulfilled.

Dr.Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero the Lira City Woman member of Parliament who is also the health minister in her remark as the guest of honour representing President Museveni committed to follow up this presidential pledge however she also rallied people of Lango to vote for President Museveni in this upcoming 2026 general elections as he is still the only candidate with vision to continue leading this country for holistic development to be realized.

Lay Canon Richard Ogwang Odyero who was also the chairperson Central Organizing committee for the event explained a number of developments realized in the 10 years including starting up dairy farm, establishment of retirement home for the serving Bishop of West Lango Diocese, building Diocesan headquarters, creation of over 10 archdeaconries as well as coronation and installation of many servants of God including lay riders among other developments.
