STAKEHOLDERS URGED TO STRATEGIZE FOR LOCAL REVENUE COLLECTION TO IMPORVE DEVELOPMENTS IN MARACHA

Stakeholders in Oluffe sub county Maracha district have been urged to mobilize for local revenue for the sub county to improve the developments in the area.

Agnes Ayikoru the senior assistant accountant of the sub county on October 18, 2024 during budget conference meeting at the sub county headquarters said government transfers have greatly reduced hence affecting the development plans of the sub county.

She however advised the members to communicate with the communities to embrace the local revenue collections.

Alfred Kato the district planner advised the leaders to focus on the strategic directions of the government where industrialization, tourism, mineral, oil and gas including the computer technology that could make them to realize more local revenue collections for the sub county.

Stella Abaru the Community development officer who is also at the same time the sub county chief appealed for positive mindset change from the community members towards the payment of the revenue.
