REFUGEE STUDENTS IN THE CAMPS URGED TO EMBRACE UNITY.

South Sudanese’s student leaders in Moyo district under the Umbrella Body, Moyo district South Sudanese’s Students Association payed a visit to the refugee’s settlement of Palorinya in Obongi district encouraging the person of concerns to embrace peace and unity among themselves as south Sudanese in order to fight tribalism which is the major factor that has contributed to conflicts in the country.

Anyanzo Ezra while delivering a peace message to the Christians in Gosene parish works for Christ kingdom Morobi Zone II in the Diocese of Kajo Keji encouraged the persons of concern to copy the example of love, unity and humanity from the Ugandans who are hosting refugees. “As south Sudanese, are here in Uganda, we also know how the Ugandans are staying with us. They love each other and that is why they extended that kind of heart towards us and welcome us amid the suffering in our land.” Ezra expressed.

Meanwhile Yugu John Chaplain a pastor in the diocese focused on unity as he encouraged the students to put education as their priority. “We are sent here for a purpose, leave the issues of the war it’s all about how human beings do behave. So as you are here in Uganda you need to go back with not the negative happenings but the positive ones” Yugu revealed

The students also guided their fellow learners at the refugee camp. Juru Munira the minister of religious affairs urged those who dropped out of school to go back to school. “My advice to you is that as been a teenager do not take the idea of saying your education level has ended after getting pregnant at early stage. If you have given birth, prepare yourself and go back to school, it is important for you.” Juru stressed

However Muni Anthony the vice president of the Association encouraged the youths to have proper coordination with the refugees leaders.
The South Sudanese students association was formed in 2022 by a concerned south Sudanese with the aim of uniting all the south Sudanese’s students. Currently the association has united more than 800 students in the various schools in the district
